Goals and Objectives:
Activities
The Somali Canadian Seniors program facilitates a venue for seniors
from the community to gather and socialize among other seniors in an inclusive,
safe, and culturally appropriate environment with a 24 hrs “help line” for
seniors. This service will offer an effective way to provide callers with
accurate information, support, and referrals to appropriate service providers,
community-based services and resources including in-home support if necessary.
Seniors are able to do many more things on their own once they receive support in their communities. They become more active and know who to turn to for help when needed.
