SCERDO has started its long anticipated water project in Ceegaag city.
The Somali Canadian Education & Rural Development Organiztion (SCERDO) has started its long anticipated water project in Ceegaag city. The kick-off activities for the Ceegaag Water Project commenced with tremendous enthusiasm from the community members in Ceegaag.
The opening ceremony was opened by SCERDO Executive Director, Bashir Ahmed, citing the momentous nature of this achievement, which he described as the culmination of a long-standing promise made to the community of Ceegaag. He also added that the water project activities will be implemented by SCERDO and its partners in an efficient cost-effective manner. Mr. Ahmed thanked the Government of Canada for its funding and contribution to the Ceegaag water project.
The community of Ceegaag thanked SCERDO and its partners for the water project, which will be a key source of potable water for many families in the community.
