July 12, 2012 Graduation Ceremony

SCERDO hosted the second graduation ceremony for the Employability Skills through Community Services Project. The graduation ceremony takes place at SCERDO premises at 12052 Fort Road on July 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The guests and dignitaries included Service Canada, BGS group, Somali community leaders, SCERDO staff, family and friends to celebrate the achievements of the participants of the program.

Amal (master of ceremony) began the events by welcoming all of the dignitaries.

           Executive Director of SCERDO, Bashir Ahmed began the ceremony with opening remarks. He praised the participants for their hard work and commitment.

Facilitator Sahra Kaahiye and Career Counsellor Marlene Orr also spoke at the event. They talked about their experiences working with the youth and provided a great deal of encouragement to them.

Dave Xander was then invited to hand the certificates out to the participants of the program.

After the ceremony SCERDO hosted a BBQ lunch which everyone enjoyed. Overall it was a great end to the program and a celebration of all that was achieved in this short time.
