SAYES Program (Support All Youth Employability Skills)

SAYES is designed to help youth in Edmonton to prepare for future work and/or career decisions by assisting them with preparing, seeking, obtaining, and maintaining employment.  This is a 12 week program, 2 weeks of in-class training where participants undergo workplace training and 10 weeks of work experience placement. Topics covered in In-class training include: 

  • Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
  • Career and education planning
  • Resume & cover letter writing
  • Job-searching strategies & interview preparation
  • Conflict resolution, workplace communication, Canadian workplace culture, etc.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR WHMIS etc.
