Haweenka Support Circle
The Haweenka Support Circle aims to inform and empower women and address life at a multitude of intersections. It offers self-help and facilitates support groups and workshops discussing a wide range of topics. The support circle enriches and protects Muslim women by creating a safe space, providing resources and knowledge to these women as well as connecting them to peers, professionals and their community at large.
Advocacy
We provide advocacy and referral to women with mental health issues, food insecurity, workplace and gender based discrimination. Through advocacy we provide support and inform women of both their rights and responsibilities
Housing
Housing that is safe and affordable is crucial for happy and healthy mothers and families. We work closely with women to connect them with housing providers and offer support to find appropriate housing options as well as maintaining housing.
Settlement
We offer a wide variety of settlement services to assist with integration into Canadian society for newly arrived women, including translation and interpretation, form filling assistance, school and language training referral etc.
Mommy & Me
Mommy & Me Support Group in partnership with Unbreakable Sisterhood provides mothers and their babies (0-5) with a unique opportunity to play, explore, and make new friends from January to June 2024.
Computer Classes
Classes designed for those looking for beginning and intermediate computer training. Classes include training on Microsoft Office, typing practice, and overall computer usage. Every Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
Youth Soccer Camp
For boys aged 8-12. Led by experienced coaches, youth participate in a combination of drills, scrimmages, and interactive sessions focused on building technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and a love of the game. This camp provides a fun and supportive environment to help youth reach their goals and develop as players.
