Orientation Workshops provide an ideal platform to discuss the transition into a new country. Topics covered include job search, navigating the city, opening a bank account, accessing education for yourself and your children, as well as understanding your rights and freedoms in Canada.
One-on-One Support
SCERDO offers personalized assistance to assist and advise newcomer families in accessing various resources and services, including:
- Access to affordable and subsidized housing, financial services, and income support
- Guidance on legal aid and healthcare services
- Assistance in understanding and filling out government forms and documents
- Support in finding affordable transportation and recreation services
- Facilitation of connections to community services
- Acting as an intermediary, providing assistance in connecting clients with government systems such as income support, the justice system, labor standards, and more
- We provide assistance and support during crucial appointments like court dates, medical visits, or government office visits
